The Frontera Pride Film Festival invites filmmakers to submit films for possible inclusion in our June 2010 festival. This festival celebrates the creativity, connections, challenges, contradictions, and conundrums of borders in our lives, whether these borders are socially constructed categories (gender, sexual identity, class, race, religion, age, ability); political borders (national, state, city); or personal borders (lived experience, memory, family history, etc). Priority will be given to films that incorporate and explore issues of gender and sexual identity as they are lived and/or perceived.

Submit films in the following categories:
1. Narrative Short (40 minutes or less, fiction or non-fiction)
2. Documentary Short
3. Animated Short
4. Experimental
5. Narrative Feature
6. Documentary Feature
7. Music Video

-To qualify as a short your film must be 40 minutes or less.
- Experimental shorts are those without a narrative thread.

Frontera Pride does not accept trailers or works in progress.

NOTE: We cannot consider film submissions sent to us via URL (e.g. YouTube, MySpace, Google Video, or Quicktime uploads).

All submissions must be sent on DVD. Complete contact information must be included with each submission.

Submission price is $15 for shorts and $25 for features until April 1, 2010. At that time prices will increase to $25 for shorts and $35 for features until the final postmark deadline of April 15, 2010. Make checks or money orders payable to "Frontera Pride Film Festival" c/o Frontera Women's Foundation.

Applicants will be informed of the status of their project no later than April 30, 2010.
